‍Welcome, We are Wendy and David Manson, longtime Marquette residents who love sharing this remarkable corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula with our guests. Wendy is a retired biology teacher, a mother of three grown sons, and a lifelong nature lover. David owns a local Marquette brewery. Our travels have shown us how much thoughtful details, comfort, and local knowledge can shape a stay, and we bring those lessons home to every property we host. Several years ago, we purchased the vacant Victorian home next door to us with its distinctive onion tower. The house had been empty for more than three years, and restoring it became a seven-year labor of love. We worked to preserve its craftsmanship, history, and character while adding the modern comforts travelers appreciate. Today, Hewitt Onion Rentals includes four guest accommodations across two neighboring historic homes in the heart of Marquette. Our properties are close to restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, shopping, Lake Superior beaches, trails, and many of the places that make our community special. After welcoming thousands of guests and receiving more than 1,000 five-star reviews across Airbnb and VRBO, we created this direct booking website to make it easier for returning and new guests to plan their Marquette stays while avoiding many of the added platform fees. We live next door and are happy to offer recommendations, answer questions, and help guests experience Marquette like locals.
